Staff Spotlight: Meet Lucy Beckett – Occupational Therapist at Your Physio Advantage

Lucy Beckett brings a unique blend of skills, experience, and passion to her role as an Occupational Therapist at Your Physio Advantage. Originally from New Zealand, Lucy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Otago Polytechnic and has spent the past five years developing her expertise across various fields. From her work in Child and Adolescent Health to Residential Aged Care, Lucy’s journey reflects her commitment to improving the lives of her clients.

Lucy is currently working in Community Aged Care and with NDIS participants, where she supports individuals to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. She has also expanded her skillset by studying lymphoedema therapy for the lower limb, a specialised area that will allow her to provide even more targeted care. Lucy’s approach to occupational therapy is holistic and person-centered, a philosophy she finds both meaningful and rewarding.

Her journey to occupational therapy was shaped by her early career as an Outdoor Education Instructor and as a duty manager in a bustling restaurant, experiences that taught her resilience, adaptability, and the importance of a supportive team. Now, at Your Physio Advantage, Lucy values the collaborative environment that enables her to make a difference every day.

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys scenic walks, adventure activities, and spending time with friends and family. Although she misses her loved ones in New Zealand, she cherishes the friendships she’s had since childhood, which continue to inspire her.

Lucy’s passion for her work and for travel shines through in everything she does. Her dedication and empathy make her a valued part of the Your Physio Advantage team, where she’s excited to continue making an impact.
